Cut and polish is a professional paint correction and refinement process designed to improve the appearance of your vehicle’s paintwork. It helps reduce the appearance of light scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, dullness, and other minor paint imperfections, restoring a smoother, glossier, and more refined finish.

Our Cut & Polish Process
Thorough Exterior Wash
We thoroughly clean and wash the vehicle exterior using appropriate detailing products to remove surface dirt, dust, road grime, and other contaminants.
Chemical Decontamination
We use specialised exterior decontamination products to remove embedded contaminants such as iron particles and other contamination that cannot be removed through normal washing.
Clay Bar Treatment
A clay bar treatment is carried out to remove remaining bonded surface contaminants and leave the paintwork smooth and properly prepared for polishing.
Final Surface Preparation
The vehicle is thoroughly rinsed and prepared to ensure remaining residues, contamination, and previous surface products are removed before polishing.
Masking & Protection
Sensitive areas such as window rubber seals, exterior rubber trims, plastic trims, and other vulnerable areas are carefully masked and protected before machine polishing begins.
Paint Inspection & Thickness Measurement
We thoroughly inspect each and every panel for swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and other paint imperfections while measuring the paint thickness using a paint thickness gauge. This allows us to determine the safest level of correction for each panel, helping preserve the integrity of the paint and clear coat.
Cutting Stage
We select the appropriate cutting compound, polishing pad, and machine-polishing combination according to the condition of the paintwork.Depending on the condition.
Polishing & Refinement
Following the cutting stage, the paintwork is refined through the appropriate polishing process to improve gloss, clarity, smoothness, and overall paint finish.
Paintwork Inspection
The vehicle is thoroughly inspected under suitable lighting to assess the results and ensure the paintwork has been properly refined.
Paint Protection
Once the paintwork has been corrected and refined, a suitable paint protection product can be applied to help maintain the finish and provide additional protection against everyday environmental exposure.
Final Detail & Quality Check
The vehicle receives a final clean and detailed inspection to ensure the paintwork, exterior trims, glass, and other areas are presented to a high standard.
